Ice cream is a one dish that tempts not only kids, but elders also. Generally summers is assumed as an ideal season for having ice cream, but for me winters are best for having the dish as it does not melt and every scoop has its own pleasure. Since the sunny season is on the way so many people would love to try the variety of ice cream recipe at home to withstand this scorching heat. Here are some recipe that you can try anytime.
No Cook Strawberry Ice Cream
Strawberries contain more than 100 percent of our daily recommended intake of vitamin C in just one cup. Recent studies show that when vitamin C is consumed during times of stress, it actually has the ability to decrease our blood pressure to a normal level, preventing the development of hypertension.
- 1cup sweetened condensed milk
- cup evaporated milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- Half kg fresh strawberries
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Step 1– Whisk sweetened milk,evaporated milk,whole milk and condensed milk in a large saucepan, until the liquid is completely blended, cover the saucepan with transparent sheet and freeze for 30 minutes. Then blend lemon juice,strawberries and slat in the blender until the batter become smooth, then add the whisked milk in this batter and continue stirring.
Step 2-Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker container and place the container in the freezer.
Step 3- Remove the container with ice cream from ice-cream maker, and place in freezer for 15 minutes. Then transfer the batter into an airtight container; freeze until firm, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours and the yummy rich in strawberry ice cream is ready to it.
You can garnish it with strawberry slices.
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Vanilla is one flavor that is liked almost by everyone.the name vanilla is synonymous with ice-cream for ages.This is one neutral flavor as chocolate is strong and strawberry is sour and sweet.
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste*
Step 1– Whisk sugar,cornstarch and salt together in saucepan.gradually add milk and cream in the batter and keep whisking. Cook the batter over medium heat and keep stirring till the mixture thickens slightly. Then remove the mixture from the gas.
Step 2–Now whisk egg yolk till the mixture thickens, add 1 cup of hot cream into the egg yolk, then add the yolk mixture into the cream batter that we cooked earlier.Keep whisking.Whisk in vanilla bean paste. Then keep the batter at the room temperature to cool it and stir it occasionally.
Step 3– Cover the saucepan with plastic wrap and freeze it for 8- 24 hours.
Step 4–After freezing it pour the batter into the container of the ice cream maker and freeze it.Enjoy the yummy vanilla ice-cream.
P.S –vanilla extracts can be substituted.
