Hercules is an upcoming Hollywood flick. It is an adventurous high drama base film. It has been directed by Brett Ratner, who is known for directing the finest piece  like Rush Hour film series, The Family Man, Red Dragon, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Tower Heist. It is an adaptation of a graphic novel with the same name i.e. Hercules: The Thracian Wars , by Steve Moorey and Admira Wijaya . The star cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Ian McShane, Reece Ritchie, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Joseph Fiennes, and John Hurt.

Dwayne Johnson is main protagonist. His character has been adapted from the Greek mythology, in which Hercules was the strongest man on earth. Besides tremendous physical strength he had great self-confidence. Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The rock is back with this one. The story revolves around him, his struggle, and war with himself and how he chose to become “The Hero”.

Hercules in the past offended the god by proving himself equalent to god and thus he was cursed. To fetch bread and butter, he became rapacious. He is supplemented with his five alley’s in his journey to ancient Greece to accomplish his task and thus hi is been exposed to his enemy and the audience get to see high voltage drama and fight sequences. Hercules is then given a task of defeating a ferocious person by the ruler of Thrace and his daughter. The turning point comes when the giant realizes his power and wants to use it for a good cause. He then decides to change himself.

Rock has perfectly pulled the character till the end, his gestures are suave, the ex wrestler chose the correct piece to explore his acting skill and dissolves in a character.

The dialogues are hard to hear, the music of the film is magnimatic sung at high pitch by Fermando Velazquez.

The supporting star cast of the film has good screen presence. The veteran actors: Mc Shane, John Hurt and Peter Mullan have added the spice in the film through their acting skills.

In all the movie is a must watch this weekend as it will divulge you in Greek mythology. The film is slated to release on 25th July 2014 in United States. It is been distributed by Paramount Pictures and MGM.
